Nikon launched new lens distortion control data for their DSLRs back in July 2013.
The data is loaded to the DSRL via a firmware update to the L firmware bank. This update takes the L firmware up to version 1.009.
Only Nikor lenses are covered by this data, but it’s worth updating, to ensure your DSLR has Nikon’s latest data loaded covering 107 Nikor lenses. This latest update includes data for lenses launched in the first half of 2013.
The update covers both the D7100 and D7000. It also covers the D4, D90, D600, D610, D800, D800E, D5000, D5100 & D5200.
